Its really surprising honestly-I had no idea when I first went to OSU that there were that many turtles in there-esp. with how dirty the "Ole & Grungy" looks. Surprising it would appear to have a very healthy turtle population. I was especially surprised with seeing the painted turtles, since I don't normally associate them with large rivers that frequently flood (moreso as pond and marsh turtles). I have also seen common musk and snapping turtles in there.
