Thanks for the info, I will pick those books up soon.

As far as checking with the DNR done. We have alot more herps then just the fox snake that is protected. I am not field collecting anyhow...field observing and picture taking. I have plenty of reptiles to care for now anyhow and would never take from the wild anyhow.
