Talk your parents into a little drive to Lake Meredith in the Texas Panhandle. I find at least 5 or 6 a day when looking for rattlesnakes. Look around trash piles and under plywood. I always get excited when I see a tail and I usually see more skinks on the other end of the tail than a snake. The flat land above the lake around mesquite and deep brush sites is where i see em.
