There are several areas out on the coast but as John said F&G is very touchy about the subject. You can find them around Capron and out to the dismal swamp area. There are other places I'm sure, but there is alot of private land in the area and some of the people down there arent partial to strangers. Contact F&G or ODU for there canebrake researchers. Hope it helps,

:Has anyone here had any success finding Canebrakes in southeast Va.??? I'm going to try and head that way next week to see what's out there.
