On this hike we didn’t see many herps but we did see some strange stuff. This looked like a walking stick but it flew. It is about 4 inches long.


Here is one of the only herps we saw on this hike, Sphenomorphus cherriei.

It wasn’t very impressive but you gotta figure in the middle of a jungle you can’t be picky.
As we were walking we saw this egg.

We figured it couldn’t be real but determined that it belonged to some kind of turkey like bird. It was really strange in the middle of nowhere.

This is what the habitat of this hike looked like.

We did get to see some Tucans and some really neat woodpeckers. (I gotta get me a good long, fast lens.)
