::::I was wodering if anyone knows of any good spots to look for snakes in texas during may and was wodering if any one would share any of there spots with me I'm just takeing pics not collecting this time but what is the laws on collecting in texas and what licens you would have to purches to collect I will be in the big bend area probably north of there but in that area.
:If you are in the Big Bend area almost anywhere outside the State Park is good for night driving. FM170 and Hwy. 118 is very good for lots of types of snakes and for geckos. North of Big Bend Hwy. 90 is good. If you do not live in TX you need the Non-Game Non-Resident 5 day Collecting Permit, I believe it is #57. You can get one at Wal-Mart. They were about $35 last year. If you're a TX resident I'm not sure which license it is but you can contact Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Is there any particular herp you were hoping to find?
Is may a good time to look and thanks for the spots to cheack out I will have to give them a try I will be down there around the end of may
thanks agian justin
