The question is, what is the definition of
"species"?

Ok, two questions.

Does herpetofauna ignore this definition or not, opinions please.

My point, almost the whole colubrid family of North America evolved (is evolving) from (insert a number here) of common ancestors.

Let's here some thoughts on this subject. I value your opinions.
