Man, get sick and miss two days of checking the forum all this happens?!? Let me first say this is one of the greatest threads on this forum I have ever read. Rather than one by one, I would like to thank everyone for sharing. There is some incredible stories here. Thanks again guys.

Allright (and this is really in no particular order)

#1 First Carolina Red Pygmy
(Northern GA) 14" male
Donated to Alligator Adventure in SC for display. Found on a dirt road about ten thirty PM. Had NO idea it was even a snake, something just said "go back and look at that strange stick in the road" When the flashlight hit it I was in a state of shock before breaking out into the Victory Dance (luckily for me the first wife has promised strict silence regarding what she saw)

#2 Southern Copperhead
(Marion Co. GA) 28" Female
Defies description rust red bands on a Pink/purple background. Saw A photo of her the other day and while it's nice to know she is still doing fine, I kicked myself AGAIN for being stupid enough to part with her.

#3 Second Eastern Diamondback
(Coffee Co. GA)5' female
Lifted a piece of tin that had another piece's edge over the end, when I looked down to that side she slid out from under the other piece and "looked" at me. She then slowly retreated under her piece. She never even rattled throughout the somewhat unorganized capture and did wonderfully for me for years. Later she rewarded me with 17 beautiful babies, God I miss that animal.

#4 First Western Hognose 20" male
Again with that stupid dance....good thing that area was desolate. This was my first trip out west and after nothing but DOR's in Northern TX this felt good....real good.

#5 Dusky Pigmy (Appalachicola NF)
It was a textbook, normal looking male about 16-18" long but it was the first time that my new wife was excited about collecting. I had taken her with me several times but it never seemed to take until this last North Florida trip. She had that "look", the one we all know so well, in her eyes, she is hooked now. Being able to share the enjoyment I get out of encountering herps and other wildlife in thier element with her for the rest of our lives and being able to remember that it was that unspectacular little barbouri that sparked the fire is better than any of the abberant, rare, or exceptional animals I have been lucky enough to find over the years. Oh god, did I really just type all that sappy crap...uhhgg)
