What are the top 5 herps I have ever found?
I don't have pictures for #5 but mine are:
5. A Western Tiger Snake found on Garden Island (near Perth), Australia in 1998.
4. An Eastern Indigo Snake (72 and 1/2 inches) found in SE GA 2001.

3. A neonate Sidewinder found while roadcruising in SoCal with friends in 2000.

2. A 4 and 1/2 foot long Eastern Cottonmouth found in SE GA 2001.

And my number one find of all time:
1. Each and every Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake that I come across and subsequently leave in the wild (3 so far this year).

The awesome presence of these snakes cannot be truly experienced on television or in cages. You have to walk up on one that is filling its niche in nature to feel the awe.
