: My favorites are all from AZ because I have little to no experience herping anywhere else. Still haven't come close to seeing it all here, and I probably never will! My fondest memories are of T. rufipunctatus and Pyros from camping trips when I was a child. Its amazing what memories the smell of pyro musk brings up to this day. LOL : My top five finds are... : 1. My best find ever... The first ever L. t. trivirgata found in the North Maricopas. A 110 Km range extension. 2001 : <img src="http://www.brennanart.com/herp-l-t-trivirgata-nm.jpg"> : 2. A close second... Crotalus willardi obscurus. Marty actually spotted this one but I was hiking next to him at the time. It is one of the neatest little snakes I've ever seen in the field. : <img src="http://www.brennanart.com/herp-c-w-obscurus.jpg"> : 3. My third favorite find... a Southern Arizona Oxybelis aeneus auratus from this year. A beautiful young male. I have really gained a lot of respect for these animals over the years. My neck has gained a lot of kinks too! LOL : <img src="http://www.brennanart.com/herp-o-aeneus-mine.jpg"> : 4. Gyalopion quadrangulare found by Me & Marty on a night when there weren't many snakes moving. Probably the nicest looking of my top 5 finds (at least until it gets older). : <img src="http://www.brennanart.com/herp-g-quadrangulare1.jpg"> : : 5. My first Arizona milksnake. Not the most significant find but I worked really hard to find this guy and I was really happy to finally break the ice & catch one. : <img src="http://www.brennanart.com/herp-l-t-taylori.jpg">
