1. I lifted a rock at the Verde River when I was little, and found a Garter snake.
2. A pair of 6' Gopher snakes at the Salt River bed.
3. My first Coachwhip (what a battle!).
4. A Sheltopusik at Graffenvoer, Germany.
5. A Whip snake hiding along a branch, not 2 feet from my head.
Maybe not a glorious variety, but fond memories nonetheless.
