Well, I counted all the different kinds of snakes found in Eddy co, NM....where I live. There are a total of 32 snakes according to Amphibians and Reptiles of New Mexico and me. I say me because although there is no record of racers (C. c. flaviventris) in Eddy co, I have personally seen one and chased it into a big thorn bush where it escaped. I am hoping to find most snakes this season and photograph them and make a website about them. For any that care, here is a list of confirmed snakes found in the county of my residence:
