ah bleeding from a cervical snap?

yea i did the snap thing... screwdriver behind the head and pull on the tail... and the mouse started bleeding everywhere. kinda freaked me out, i didnt expect that. i felt bad for the little guy... haha kinda ironic ive done this many times before. once it stopped (between the bleeding and the twitching, blood was going everywhere) i looked at the thing, i guess it was bleeding from its mouth... ? why there? im just kinda curious about why it would bleed like that... hahah my snake didnt seem to mind though :) dave
