Mealworm question...

I have successfully started a mealworm colony at home for my Leos rather than running to the store every other day. I have recently had an explosive burst of growth and have A LOT of them. I have taken a large portion and placed them into containers with substrate and am keeping them in the fridge. For those of you that do this, here are my questions...How often (if ever) do you take them out to feed? If you do take them out, how long do you keep them out before returning them to the fridge? And lastly, how long have you gotten them to last using this method? Thanks for the advice!
