Ryan, The biggest determinant of when to expect is the age of the mice when you put them all together. I got 1.2 mice in December right before Christmas, and it was about 6 weeks before I had my first babies.... because the mice I got were not full grown adults... they were weanlings. So if you got young mice, you might take a while. If you have a scale and can weigh them, once they are about 25 grams they are ready to "get it on" so to speak. Also a lot depends on environmental factors. If they are in a nicely air conditioned environment, they should be fine, but if they are subject to high temperatures it might take them a while to breed and getting a new male won't help.
Anyway, that's what I know from my own experiences. I had a gorgeous long haired curly satin male and I gave up on him and gave him away as a pet, and three days later his girls started to get plump. I got some gorgeous babies.
BTW, I started to name my mice with the first three, thinking erroneously that I wouldn't name any more. Now I have 80+ mice... all with names. Gotta watch out, those mice can be as addictive as snakes! You get more snakes to justify more mice, and more mice justifies more snakes... it's a cycle... not a vicious one, but just a cycle. :)
