Problems with eggs of Elaphe taeniura

When my female Elaphe taeniura laid some eggs, I put them in my incubator: the eggs were put in a plastic box filled with vermiculite. This box is hanged up above some water (heated and oxygenated by a heater and a bubble maker for aquarium). I had about 60% humidity and a temperature about 28°C.
A few weeks after the laying, the eggs “shells” became hard, and a lot of babies didn’t manage to exit from the eggs (I only saved one baby).

If someone know why my eggs became hard, I would be very grateful to this person for giving me precious advises.
