: Has anyone else heard of the Houston City Council's ban on "wild animals"? It bans ownership by private individuals of all venomous snakes and snakes that can grow larger than 8 feet. There is a clause that allows for exceptions to be made with a permit from the health dept.. It was passed in 1999, but the first I time heard of it was at the Houston show this past weekend.
