I don't have any great tips for you, I just wanted to pass along a reassuring story. We had a missing juvie Corn two years ago. After setting every kind of trap in creation and 4 weeks of regular searches, we finally gave up. Three weeks later we set up the Christmas tree. The next morning she was there - underneath the tree. She had apparently crawled out to explore the branches. After 7 weeks she was alive and in pretty good shape. She was skinny of course, but recovered beautifully.
