corn lost outside, any help?

Any one have an idea about where to start looking outside for a 3' corn? My son left him "chillin" in a potted plant in the garden and when he turned his back for a sec he was gone. My yard has lots of hidey holes, a jungle of a garden with a large cedar tree, a wood pile, a garage with a snake size gap under the door and a soon to be rebuilt, I hope, 70 Roadrunner. Thanks for any help on traps, where to look etc.
