we use a piece of pvc pipe with a cap on one end
and a funnel in the other (half to cut 2 small slit on the funnel so it can exspand as the snak enters) and put some of the mouse cages dropings and wood shavings in it it works real good but keep in mind it is dark in the tube and you might betrying to catch a black snake but insteads you catch a cottonmouth so open it carefully and never stick you hand down in it
I have had a few cases where there where 2 snakes in the same trap
