Beginner Cobras(talk about a double negative)

I've been keeping various viperidae and crotalids for the last 8 years, and I have stayed away from elapids until I gained experience and confidence in my handling skills. Finally I feel like I am ready for my first cobra,but which one?????????
If you guys can recommend which species is usually tolerant and hardy, I would really appreciate it.
