I'll ignore the latest baseless vitriole from WW on this forum at:
http://forum.kingsnake.com/elapid/messages/4996.html
(I can't keep up with him ... no doubt he's repeated the same tripe elsewhere as fast as he can!) and for the more genuine herpers here, I'll post more material of interest.
This time it's a great recently published paper by Scott Eipper on - yes, two different species of snake punching on!
(Actually, maybe WW and I are different species???? - couldn't help myself here with this sort of pun)... anyway seriously, the paper is well worth a look at and so is the video footage.
What is on the www here is but a fraction of what we have and the serious researchers can order the full footage as video on CD-rom and can e-mail me at:
adder@smuggled.com.
for more info and the like (We'll ship at cost)
The inter-specific combat (I hope that's the right way to put it) is detailed in a recent paper by Eipper and now placed online at:
http://www.smuggled.com/Eipper6.htm
with (2 mb) mpg footage of the event at:
http://www.smuggled.com/Eipper4m.mpg
Both are worth a look at!
