:Hi - first off, not to be argumentative with Nate, but DON'T GET AN IGUANA! An iguana is not a beginner lizard, it gets huge and has very specific needs that your sister is probably not ready to meet.

I always recommend Leopard Geckos as a wonderful beginner lizard. They stay small and can live happily in a 20 Long (30 inches long) aquarium all their lives. They have incredibly sweet temperments and never (or rarely) bite and they are very easy to care for.

No matter what lizard you (she) chooses, make sure you do the research first so you'll be thoroughly knowledgable about what you are getting into.

Have Fun!
Martha

: My 17 yr old sister wants to get a lizard, but wants to get one that doesn't get to big.

: What are the best ones to get. We live in CA

: Thanks
