Iguanas and Children?

I have been offered two iguanas, both about a year old, I have a 1-year-old and I'm not sure of the health risks the iguanas would have to my child. Do they carry any harmful illnesses? I only have a few hours to let her know, or they are going to end up in the cold. Thanks, Kim
