They are offered sporatically and infrequently in the pet trade. B. basiliscus is the brown basilisk... so it is more browny-green. The B. vittatus is a darker brown with a stripe. I don't know if they would get mixed up in shipments, but since their ranges do overlap then it is likely. Check out this link for more helpful info: http://www.omne-vivum.com/c/10070.htm
