Ok, here is our plan, we are assembling everything this weekend.

Container 1 is 40 inches long, 22 inches wide and 6 inches deep.

Container 2 is 21 inches long, 16 inches wide and 6 inches deep.

The plan: Cut out some of the front edge of container 2 so we can control where the water flows out of it. Container 2 will sit towards the back of container 1 so that about 18 inches of stuff is in front of container 1. The pump will be in the back, and pump the water over the back edge and into container 2. We are attaching a pipe to the end of the pump hose which will spread the returning water out over the whole bottom of the container instead of making a real strong running current.

The bottom container will have a bottom layer of bio-balls, then a layer of egg crate. On top we will have spagnum moss and plants, I have several pothos and a bromiliad. Right under the waterfall I will just have the bioballs and eggcrate, with polished stones on top.
