:I have a rubbermaid tub that I use as a pond. I use a canister filter to keep the water clean. I drilled two holes on the side of the tub. One is higher then the other. The higher hole serves to create a small water fall as the water gets pumped in, the lower hole is where the water gets vacumed out to the filter. I sealed it with plumming hardware (gasket and screw thingy) and attached the hoses from the filter to it. It works great and keeps the water clean for about two-three weeks. If you have any more questions, just ask...
