We recently allowed our CWDs to share the same space after a 2.5 month recovery from illness. They are male and female. At first we thought they were fighting as the male was head bobbing and generally stalking the female (who was a dark chocolate color). She spent most of her time dodging him. Eventually he jumped her and (we assume) mated with her. It was a little strange looking but we guess they were "doing it". Anyway, like people, now SHE is following him everywhere and he seems to be dodging her! Quite funny. I was wondering what the deal was with eggs and whatnot. I am going to stick a container of peat moss in the cage in a shady but warm place. Anything else I should do? We are not sure what to do with the eggs (if any come). We hate to simply discard them but are trying to be realistic with respect to caring for a clutch of little CWDs. Any expereince?
