Steve surveyed animal control officers around the metroplex (a very large number of municipalities) and the list is not currently printed up for distribution. I think Steve was going to finalize a couple of things.

That list would show the officers' interpretations of current regulations (which, as I recall, already outlaw snakes in Dallas). The news report that was mentioned in this thread is a new law at the state level, apparently giving local govts. more leeway in banning wild animals.

Unfortunately, there is no commonly accepted standard across municipalities for what is allowable, and legislators really need good input so that regulations will be minimally intrusive.

: If I remember correctly a while back we as a society were working on a list of regulations from different municipalities in the area. Did we ever finish this list and is it available?
