I wanted to apologize for my last request. I realize that by giving a lack of information of what I was trying to accomplish gave a lot of people the wrong idea’s of my intentions. The book that I need photo’s for is a very detailed manuscript of pit vipers of the U.S. that I have been working on for the last 10 years and in no way does any of its content emphasize any ill interpretation on reptiles. My other book was the one I wanted the stories for and was where I believe the misunderstanding came from. This book was not in any way meant for the general public and the stories that I asked for were not going to be the only stories in the book, they were just the ones I am presently working on. I myself have kept venomous reptiles for over 15 years. The last thing I want to do is instill false belief in anti snake people’s minds. I have spent the last 20 years of my life trying to educate the public (I performed shows for schools churches and camp’s) and fight for the freedom and the future of reptiles and especially venomous snakes. I have wrote many article’s that have been published in News Papers and magazines and I have also been on TV several times pressing the positive facts on snakes. I have been bitten twice and I thought that by compiling stories of different accidents might possibly save another person of making the same mistake and ending up dead. Again in no way were these stories meant to discredit nor distill unnecessary fear into the public. Maybe next time all the trigger-happy folks out there should find out the facts before pulling the trigger. I had just found these forums and I was very excited about them. I thought that maybe I could get a lot of good info here “BUT” I think some of you obviously just have to much time on your hands and have nothing better to do then accuse and judge someone you no nothing about. I will not be returning to this forum and I really fill sorry for the herp’s that are owned by these people. I want to thank all of you that were not so judgmental and tried to help me in this project.
