Agreed.
Here in Wyoming, the largest bull snakes are found in regions frequently of high elevations, thus shorter periods of reptilian activity and feeding. The contributing factor to these large specimens, in my opinion, is the inherent lack of numerous roads and the subsequent traffic.
Population numbers appear to be less than the lower elevation regions, however, the individual specimens are consistently larger in length and weight.
This seems to be the case around the state which would seemingly discount a genetic locality.
