never been to az, but i have been clued to both adamanteus and horridus based on audible warnings only. i do understand the perceived trend towards rattlesnakes not warning humans and it makes perfect sense, but i was really referring to the frightening nature of unseen rattling, the reflexive fear response, and how that might serve to confirm the evolutionary purpose of the rattle.
