I have been walking in brush (I always wear shorts) and just as I was stuck by a cholla or other opuntia, a paint-wing grasshopper or some other insect flew off making that buzzing sound. Almost went off a ledge like that once. I must have looked like an idiot as I was grasping at my calve, while hopping on the other foot, and cussing like a fiend at some little grasshopper.
