hard data, and probably never will. With these types of topics it is usually wide acceptance of a theory preposed by an author who is an "expert" and many of the other, just as valid ideas are ignored. But, I have seen babby lepidus caudal lure so I believe that Crotalus do, but when do they stop caudal luring and why? Is it because the rattle may fall victim to an attack and then be rendered useless as a warning/defense mechanism? And, a little off topic, but why we're here, what is with people saying that one difference between lepidus lepidus and lep klauberi is the yellow tail coloration remains into adulthood on klauberi, I have found this to be entirely inaccurate and if anything just the opposite.
