not that I think this has any merit, but just for interests sake....in the Tarahumara region of Mexico the locals call the small montane forms (lepidus, pricei, and C.w.silus) "Chachamuri" a Tarahumara word which literally translates as "Grasshopper" as the grasshoppers in the area have a buzzing call that sounds just the same.
