okay, but I would have to think that this was more of a curiosity, as Mus musculus is a rather stupid rodent, but anyhow, I think there would be better, less "scary" (for lack of better term) ways to caudal lure. Like the yellow tail of Crotalus lepidus, and what about the striking pattern of scuts and atrox? It may attract the attention of avian predators away from the head, much like a Callisaurus or Holbrookia wagging its tail running from roadrunners and other avian predators, but I doubt that it attracts rodents and rabbits, but who knows.
