Blackwater is right, over here in Europe it's easier to obtain captive bred than wild caught.

For some species this poses a problem. I'm a horridus enthusiast myself, and that species is virtually unavailable.... :(

Besises the lack of availability of some species there is also a tendency NOT to breed hots...

In the past years we've seen masses of hots on the reptile fairs for prices as low as 10 guilders (we used those back then, that was about 5 US $)The numbers of hots here are dropping

People have virtually stopped breeding here because there is too small a market for them, I mean, it's hard to get CB 2002 Crotalus atrox... Albinos are almost nonexistent here.

In the future I hope to establish contact in the US to get some of the more exotic rattlers over to europe, this however might take a while, since I stilll don't have the ammount of money to undertake this... :(
