After further reading Ive found that where these guys have range interlaps the two can look almost identical. Makes sense, every speck Ive ever found has been much larger and had a bigger head. The banding was what really clinched it for me with this snake, more pebbly looking than a tiger but I swear the head and rattle proportions are closer in person. It sure is a pretty color my photo was pretty poor and did not truly capture it. My wife who does not truly share my love of buzzers said it was beautiful. It must be for her to say anything like that! LOL
