I've heard that freezer burned mice causes problems for some snakes, and others haven't had problems at all. However, I would try to avoid feeding freezer burned mice IMHO.
To avoid freezer burn, package the mice in small portions in Ziploc bags. The trick is to minimize air exposure. I usually package 5-6 mice per Ziploc bag (I breed my own mice), and those bags can be opened and closed 2-3 times before the mice start forming tiny dots of freezer burn.
Hope that helps.
:i bought a bag of 100 mice and put them in the freezer, everytime i go to get some they are getting freezerburnt. Is this bad for the snake or does it not matter? how can i avoid this?
