: Sheesh! Doesn't anyone know how to kill rodents humanely? I was stunned to check some postings and see how people were suggesting- whacking, freezing, drowning. What you do is take the animal by the tail, with one hand press a hemostat (closed) against the animal's neck, press down hard while simultaneously pulling upward on the animal's tail with a hard quick motion. Snaps their necks, they die immediately and there is no blood. I used to work in a lab and killed sometimes 500 mice or rats a day with this method.
