:...do you still have it. What a great story. I've only been keeping snakes for a little over a year, and only one escape so far. My albino greenish ratsnake got out a few weeks ago (totally my bad, too...I usually keep a phone book on top of his screen cover and forgot to replace it that morning). We found him right away, crawling along the top of the baseboards in the same room. I got lucky, and it was a good reminder to be more careful... Duffy

::I got a cardboard box, cut a hole in the side of it, put a bowl of water in it, and placed it in the corner of the room where the snake went missing (you can try multiple boxes). Also, putting one of those air activated handwarmers on top of the box helps attract them also (on top not on the bottom, gets too hot then).
::Thirst will almost always drive a snake toward water, once inside the warm boxes with water, they'll be reluctant to leave, so easy to find, just check on them maybe twice a day (just before bed and early morning are good times).
::Also, as a side note, I caught a snake I've never seen before using this method once, apparently someone had a snake get loose in my apartment building and never found it. I guess it came down into my apartment looking for mice (I breed mice).
