I had never had them until I got a shipment of snakes in from a breeder. When I did, I noticed the small flies in the deli cup, but thought they were simply gnats. However, after my quarantine period was over, and these two new snakes were brought into the rest of the collection, I began to notice the "gnats" more and more. I'm not certain if they are spreading, however. I have to admit that I see more of them the closer I get to my scheduled "clean-out date," and if I have to postpone that day at all, it can become insufferable.

I just got some prevent-a-mite in today, so I'll report what I find. I don't have crickets in the house, so, hopefully, I can rid myself of them rather than simply having them relocate to another part of the house.
