If they're feeding regularly on rodents, then it is almost unheard of. It does happen sometimes with hatchlings that haven't yet become established rodent-eaters. Other than that, it may be a risk if there's a considerable size difference between the two snakes. I would never suggest keeping a snake with another that is more than one-and-a-half times its size, but that may be being extremely cautious on my part.
