I know a bit about publishing - I was in the litho and bindery trade for about 5 years, tallied. Of course with what kinko's can do these days you don't need to really know squat about publishing what you'd need to know about is distribution....

It'd be a small nightmare trying to get one branch of kinkos to print your books in short runs then finding herphile "outlets" to get the book into the hands of the public...

If we worked up something like an internet RFC however... (Am I now diving into an area that's going to get a lot of blank stares?) We could form a "public domain" standard available to anybody in the world with a dumb-terminal and internert connection with the express right to print out personal or promotional (not for profit) copies as often as they liked. Imagine if every corn-snake for sale came with an optional printout (for $2.00?) of the current RFC on cornsnake morphology?

If there were actually interest in pricing standards, it could go into a different RFC?
