:Something we don't need is a price guide,
Not for the purpose of being argumentative, but why not? If it did, I wouldn't think it's say:
classic or WC phase corn, FMV = $15 us.
But maybe something more like:
classic or WC phase corn. The quality of a specimen is somewhat variable depending on feeding responce, percentage of wild blood, how closely the patterns and colors are representative of the morph baseline, etc...
Average direct-sale price in 2002 (pet store prices follow no known logic, which might be another GOOD reason to do this booklet) for these WC or classic phase corns:
neonate $15-30
yearling $20-40
adult or "proven" $25-50
Buying single females may incur an extra fee from many breeders
I haven't made up my mind, but I thought I'd drop this idea into the thread... (I think if a Corn Snake Breeders Guild were formed that it could be the body responsible for assimilating and disseminating the information. Obviously in the first year or two it's anybody's guess how well it'd do, ,but oncee established it ought to sell the booklet at roughly "cost" without a markup; to ensure as many people buy it as could possibly want to?)
