Clint, thanks for being so helpful, including your suggestions for me.
Here's my situation. I'm not a breeder..not interested in making money off my corns. I just want to do some breedings to establish a group of corns that I can't get in the business. I'm going to get some excess babies I have no outlet for.
For instance. I have a couple nice breeders that I no longer need (in their prime). Also I have a few babies from last summer's breeding. This spring I will put my female amel. with my male Miami to get amel. Miami hets. There will be some babies I won't want.
So, here's my question. Where's an outlet, or how does a small breeder like me move our excess offspring, and unwanted adults? I live very far from anyone else, don't go to shows more than once a year, at most, and you know the shipping problems. Is it possible that someone would take the position of middle man, so that everyone could be happy? I would be willing to sell my offspring at like 1/2 price. I also think this is a problem for the whole industry. Think of all the other people out there like me who have babies they don't know what to do with.
Thanks for listening. Later,
TC
