Nice post, Paul. Not to muddy the waters any more than they already are,
but I'm certain I have now identified a type 'B' Hypomelanism. Unfortunately
the gene expresses itself identically (as far as I can determine) in the animals
homozygous for it, yet it is genetically incompatible with the standard Hypomelanism
we have been working with for years. Type 'A' Hypomelanism bred to type 'B'
Hypomelanism produces normal colored babies.
When I get time (Daytona Beach Show is bearing down on me!) I'll post more about
my methods for determining it.
