the good news is he is a lot stronger and eating easier (he is intereste in food - a good thing) and is doing better.

the bad news, though, is very bad. the problem is his eyes. both have abcesses... he will most likely be blind after today's surgery....

i can't put done an otherwise healthy animal because of eyesight. i'll feed him if he can't hunt by scent and Lilly is starting to mope some with him gone.

vet says in about a week we'll know if he can get his vision back. i think maybe his left eye will be ok but the right one is horrible. it happened so quickly!

i've seen some animals who are deaf, blind, lost limbs and worse do just fine. i rather him not see than not breathe.

if he gets sick again and does not recover his health then i will put him down... but i cannot, i will not put him down due to such a problem.
