I just did the same thing. I have the Vicks, and I'm pretty sure I used a 2" pipe. First i took out the factor spout, then I got an attachment that turns a 2" pipe into a 1 1/2" pipe (its fits perfect into the hole) This is what the 2" pipe sits in. Also, get a cap for the 2" pipe, so that when you change the water, you can put the cap on an drain the excess water into, without having it spill on the floor!
