I wish that they could eat lady bugs! There are a TON around here! But, even if they were safe (I don't know if they are or aren't) the chams probably wouldn't like them. The bugs give off the yellowy smelly stuff, and it is gross tasting (as I have had the pleasure of discovering). Then again, my niece used to eat them like smarties, so maybe it is just a matter of taste? lol
I think it's cute that your kids are as excited as you are about getting your new pal. I'm sure he/she will be very happy in his/her new home!
